“Ne … ne de” anlamında kullanılır. Olumlu fiillerle kullanılır ancak cümle anlam olarak olumsuzdur.

11. Inversion
“Inversion”, bir cümlenin alışılagelmiş diziliminin değiştirilerek yardımcı fiilin öznenin önüne getirilmesi işlemidir. Kısacası, düz
bir cümleyi yapısal olarak soru cümlesine benzetmektir; ancak amaç soru sormak değil vurgudur. Cümle, sınırlayıcı anlama
sahip ya da olumsuz anlam taşıyan bir kelime ile başlarsa devrik yapı kullanılır. Aşağıdaki tabloda devrik yapı kullanımı
gerektiren ifadeler yer almaktadır:
