2. Read the text below and answer the questions.

A PERILOUS NIGHT
Serpil was feeling very tired that night, so at 9 o’clock she decided
to go to bed. Although going to bed early was her past habit, that
day she had a lot of stuff to deal with, so she was too tired to stay
up longer. As she was going up the stairs, she heard a noise which
was coming from the attic. She was frightened, but decided to go
and see what it was. In the attic, there wasn’t enough light to see
properly. Serpil lit a candle, but it still wasn’t bright enough. She
heard the noise again. It was coming from the corner of the attic.
She was terrified. She picked up a broom which she found on the
floor. Just then, a huge bat flew towards her. Serpil screamed very
loudly and ran quickly back downstairs.
