OUR ZERO WASTE AND RECYCLING PROJECT
Gaziemir Nevvar Salih Işgören Anatolian High School, IZMIR
Recycling is the valorisation of potentially reusable waste through various processes.
Recycling is an extremely important process today, where waste volumes are rapidly
increasing. This process can reduce waste, save energy, and contribute to reducing the need
for raw materials. Therefore, recycling is crucial for a sustainable environment and life. Sustainable projects make it much
easier to protect the environment, protect natural resources, and pass existing resources on to future generations in the
            best possible way.
With these in mind, we at Gaziemir Nevvar Salih İşgören Anatolian High School have launched a zero-waste and recycling
project. This project is carried out in collaboration with our students, parents, teachers, and administrators. Our two-pronged
project involves schools and our homes. Our project aims to collect waste paper, plastic, and plastic bottles from these two
locations during the first and second school years and recycle them, thus contributing to the economy.
