This material was designed in collaboration between the Ministry of National Education (MoNE)
Department of Curricula and Textbooks and Middle East Technical University (METU) Faculty of
Education Department of Foreign Language Department (FLE) as a part of a project within the
scope of FLE Community Service Course which took place in Spring 2023 Academic Semester.

The main goal of the project was to provide additional and supplementary English language
learning materials and practice to students who were affected by the devastating earthquakes
that struck our country on February 6, 2023 and who are getting prepared for the English
section of the university entrance exam (Yabancı Dil Testi-YDT). To this end, third-year METU
FLE prospective English language teachers worked in groups to prepare questions based on
the format of the university entrance exam under the supervision of experts at MoNE and
METU FLE Community Service Course instructors.

With the help of this material, we hope that especially high school students who are in English
language classes can have the additional support and practice they might need for their English
language studies and the English section of the university entrance exam, YDT.
