Reading Activity

2 Read the text and do the exercises below.

Jack is a firefighter. A firefighter helps protect the public in
emergencies such as fires, natural disasters, earthquakes, floods,
all kinds of explosions, collapses, car accidents. Jack is well built.
He is a brave person. He puts out fires and rescues sick or injured
people. He sometimes saves trapped animals as well.
Being a firefighter is not easy. Fighting fires is his primary duty.

After he receives notification that a fire is in progress, he always
wears his suitable safety gear. His other responsibility is to enter
a burning building to rescue victims. He investigates the source of the fires. He usually provides first aid before the
ambulance arrives. His work is dangerous and stressful, but Jack is proud of his job. He says his job has high moral
values.

Mert is a wildlife photographer. He takes the pictures of animals
and plants in their natural environment. He usually shares an
interest in animals and observes how different species live in the
wild. As a wildlife photographer, he knows advanced photographic
techniques. He uses a variety of equipment to take pictures and
videos. He utilizes various techniques to photograph wildlife in

their natural habitat. He often uses his photos to promote wildlife
conservation and raise awareness for the environment. He sometimes documents the beauty of nature.
Being a wildlife photographer is not easy. He waits for a long time to capture the best image. He often focuses on
specific endangered animals such as apes, birds, elephants, or tigers. When he is doing his job, he must be careful
because some of the animals are dangerous. He usually goes trekking deep into the rainforest. He is a brave person.
He often faces hard conditions such as heat and rain, but he likes his job and animals. He loves watching them and
filming documentaries.
