Suggestions
To make a suggestion, we use the modal ‘should’.

You should see a doctor if you don’t feel OK.

We can also use “need to” if we want to use stronger language.

He needs to wear some thick clothes for the chilly weather of the mountains.

We can also use “could” to make suggestions. “Could” is much softer and more indirect than “should”.

You could apologise to your friend if the situation makes you upset.

We can also use some questions to make a suggestion or recommendation in an indirect way.

Why don’t / doesn’t + subject + verb...?

Why don’t you give it a try and decide if you accept it or not?
