IF & WISH CLAUSES

So long as / As long as (…-dığı sürece, …-mek şartıyla, eğer)

7. Implied Conditionals

Bazen ifadelerde açık olarak bir koşul cümlesi kullanılmasa da “ima edilmiş” bir koşul ileri sürülebilir.

▪ Global warming wouldn’t have been a threat to humanity, but adopting a nature-leading living policy has never been
a priority for most people.

8. Inverted Conditionals

kullanımı vardır.

Bu koşul cümlelerini devrik yapmak için, “if” cümleden atılır ve cümle başına “should” getirilir; fiil ise, “should”
kullanımına uygun olarak çekimlenir.

B. Inversion of Type 2
Bu koşul cümlelerini devrik yapmak için, “if” cümleden atılır ve cümle başına “were” getirilir. Cümlede fiil yer
alıyorsa o fiil, “to + infinitive” şeklinde yazılır.
▪ If dinosaurs lived, humans would be searching for a way to domesticate them. (If Clause Type 2)

▪ Were dinosaurs to live, humans would be searching for a way to domesticate them. (Inversion of Type 2)
C. Inversion of Type 3
Bu koşul cümlelerini devrik yapmak için, “if” cümleden atılır; cümle başına “had” getirilir ve cümledeki fiil “V ”
