David Hi, Mike! It’s me, David.
Mike Hi, David. Is everything OK?
David Yes. I’m with Kevin now. I have good news for you. I have a flat for rent.
             Mike Where is it?
David It is in the city center, close to your work.
Mike That’s good. Which floor is it on?
David It’s on the second floor.
Mike OK. How many rooms are there?
David It’s a large flat with an open kitchen and two bedrooms.
Mike Oh, good. I like it. Is it furnished?
David Yes, there is an oven, a big refrigerator, a dishwasher and a stove in the kitchen.
Mike Great! That’s a fully-equipped kitchen. What about the bedrooms and the baths?
David Well, the bedrooms are with full baths and there are beds and wardrobes in them.
Mike There are other options on the Net. Let me take a look and compare. I’ll call you back.
             David OK, Mike. Take care.

Maya Mom! I think I need your help.
Mom I’m coming! .... Oh! What a mess!
Maya Yes, I know mom. Actually, I want to tidy it up myself, but I can’t. Help me, please.
Mom Don’t worry. I’ll help you. I think you can start with the lamp. First of all, put it on the bedside table.
Maya OK! This experiment kit is breakable. I can’t decide where to put it.
Mom You’re right. Put it on the shelf above the desk. It is safe there.
Maya OK. However, I’m still not sure where to put my school books.
Mom Well, if you want to reach them easily, you can put them on the desk.
Maya One more thing! This box is full of clothes that I don’t wear anymore. Where shall I keep it? Give me
                      an idea, please.
Mom Hmm. You can keep it under the bed.
Maya OK. Thank you very much, mom. I can handle the rest on my own.

Tapescript 2.3 Listen to the dialog between Tom and Niki. Tick Tom’s living room.
                                                                                                     P. 21

Niki Hello Tom. How's it going?
Tom Hi, Niki. I’m fine, thank you so much. Finally, it is Saturday and I'm at home.
Niki What's your plan for today?
Tom Well, I'm very tired and I think I will spend my entire day lying on my couch and watching the TV
opposite me. Then, maybe I’ll read some books. Afterwards, I’ll go to the kitchen next door and
                      prepare something delicious for myself.
Niki Get some rest, you deserve it! See you soon.
