Sue Grandma’s birthday is coming. Let’s make a surprise for her. You know she’s crazy about listening to
Andrea Bocelli.
Jason I love making surprises, but I have no idea who Andrea Bocelli is.
Sue Come on, Jason. I can’t believe you don’t know him. Bocelli is an Italian tenor and an international
superstar. His music bridges classical and pop genres. He has also a duet with Ed Sheeran. I love
listening to them together. And, guess what! Bocelli is coming to our town for a concert next week.
Jason Oh, that’s great! I know what is in your mind. We’re gonna buy the concert ticket for granny. Why don’t
we join her for the concert?
Sue That would be great, Jason. This makes her so happy. I wanna see her face when she sees the big
surprise.
Jason Let’s go to the concert hall and buy the tickets now.
Sue I’m afraid, I can’t. I have an appointment with the dentist. How about buying online tickets?
Jason Good idea. I can do it with pleasure.
Sue Thanks Jason. By the way, before the concert, why don’t we take grandma to her favorite Italian
restaurant?
Jason That would be so nice. Granny loves eating risotto with mushrooms.
Sue Yep, first Italian dish and then Bocelli’s music. Amazing surprise for her.

Laura Can you tell me about a typical day in your life for the school magazine?
Paul Yes, sure.
Laura So, what time do you get up?
Paul Oh, I get up very early, at about 5 o’clock. Then, I go to the gym at 6 o’clock and work out until 7
o’clock.
Laura Oh, that’s good. And what’s next?
Paul At 7.30, I have a shower, get dressed and have a big breakfast. Cereals, toast, fried eggs and orange
juice.
Laura What do you do after breakfast?
Paul At 8.30, I go to school by bus. I have classes from 9 o’clock to 4 o’clock.
Laura When do you have lunch?
Paul I have lunch at 12 o’clock at the school canteen.
Laura What do you usually do after classes?
Paul I go to the gym or I meet my friends at a cafe.
Laura What time do you have dinner?
Paul I have dinner at 7 o’clock. Then, I do my homework, watch TV or go online. I usually go to bed at 10
o’clock.
