Tapescript 3.1 Listen and reorder the dialog between Alicia and Sally.
                                                                                                     P. 27

Alicia Hey, Sally. It’s Alicia. How are you?
Sally Nothing new. You know, the same.
Alicia I’m calling you to invite for a movie.
             Sally Tonight?
Alicia No. Duncan and I have a movie plan for Saturday afternoon. Would you like to join us?
             Sally I’d love to but I can’t. Saturday? I’m sorry I can’t. I will visit my grandparents.
             Alicia What about the evening?
Sally I guess I will be busy. I might stay overnight there. I’m sorry.
Alicia Oh, what about Sunday evening? Are you free then?
Sally Hmm... Yes, I am. What’s on then?
Alicia I have no idea. I can go on the Internet and send you the program.
Sally That’s great. We can, then, visit some movie blogs and make the decision.
             Alicia See you on Sunday.

Tapescript 3.2 Listen to the dialog again and complete the sentences with Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy’s P. 32
                             hobbies.

Dennis You’re a great fan of the novel Little Women, aren’t you?
April Yes, I am. It’s one-hundred-and-fifty-year-old literature by Louisa May Alcott. The story is about
March sisters. ‘Christmas won’t be Christmas without any presents.’ That’s the first sentence of Little
                      Women.
Dennis Oh, my God. I think you know every detail in the book, and you should watch the movie as soon as
possible directed by Greta Gerwig. Some critics say the movie is more amazing than the book.
April Perfect news. Let’s watch it together tomorrow afternoon.
Dennis That would be great. Can you give me some clues about the characters of March sisters?
April Well, the oldest Meg is so theatrical. She loves acting. She’s also responsible and kind. Jo is the
second oldest March sister. She loves literature. She’s crazy about reading and writing. She writes
plays for her sisters and writes stories that she eventually gets published. Her favorite authors are
                      Dickens and Shakespeare.
Dennis Oh, great! I’ve loved her. What about the third March sister?
April Beth. She loves music. She’s really keen on playing the piano.
             Dennis Who’s the youngest one?
April Amy. She loves art. She’s interested in painting. I think she’s a great artist who adores visual beauty.
Dennis Who’s your favorite March sister?
April Oh, I like Jo most of all probably because I’m a lot like her. You know literature is my life. I can’t wait
                      till tomorrow.
Dennis Let’s meet at 3:00 pm at the cinema. I am sure the director refreshes this fascinating book with the
help of an amazing cast including Emma Watson and Meryl Streep.
