            2. How do you think colours affect emotions?

          b) Read the text and write True (T) or False (F).

How do you think colours affect emotions? We don’t
realise how much colour affects us. It can change the
way we think, feel, and act. “Colours, like features,
follow the changes of the emotions.” the artist Pablo
Picasso once said. Why does colour have such a big
impact on our lives? How does it make our bodies and
minds feel? Even though people have different ideas
about what colours mean, there are some effects that
            everyone understands.
Shades of red, orange, and yellow are all warm
colours. In general, these colours are lively and active,
and they make people think of good things. Red is
associated with not only love but also warnings,
danger, or anger. The colour orange is joyful and positive. Yellow is linked to optimistic thoughts.

Colours like blue, green, and purple are considered cool. While different shades of the same colour might have distinct effects,
in general, cold colours are soothing and relaxing. Blue reflects honesty and loyalty. The colour green is commonly used to
symbolise nature as well as fresh starts and expansion, and it is also connected with wealth, money, and stability. Purple is
            linked to wealth and mystery.
Neutral colours frequently take on the qualities of the other hues in a palette and can be utilised to strengthen these effects.
The fundamental neutrals consist of black, white, grey, brown, and beige. Black can be classy and refined, yet it can also be
a depressing colour. It’s generally associated with cleanliness, but more importantly, white symbolises innocence and purity.
The colour grey is often associated with strength and sophistication. Brown is reliable and can be connected with nature based
on circumstances. Beige can be warm or chilly, depending on the surrounding hues.
