As France is divided into many different
regions, each region has its own traditional
dress. Men wear pants, women wear skirts
and both wear hats in different styles. For
instance, coiffe is a special type of lace
headwear for women in various sizes.
There are varieties of coiffe such as coiffe
for a young woman of marriageable age or
coiffe for a married lady. However, they are
all white and mostly made of lace. Coiffe
is only worn at festivals and celebrations,
nobody wears it in everyday life anymore.
