5. Read the texts on clothing and shopping. Then, write the names of the cities next to the
              sentences. One is extra.
              a. Harsh weather conditions make people wear warm and thick clothes here. _________
              b. As it’s usually rainy there, everyone has to wear a raincoat and carry an umbrella when they go out. _______
              c. In this city, people tend to wear light clothes and try to protect themselves from direct sunlight. _________

               Mia
As Sydney is extremely hot in summer, we prefer loose-fitting
clothes; usually shorts, thin tops and flippers. It’s also important
to use sunscreen and wear sun protective accessories, such as
sunglasses or a hat. Winters are usually mild here, so a jacket or
a light coat is enough to go out in winter. I prefer wearing smart
clothes when I go out with my friends at night, so I always keep
a pair of elegant high-heeled shoes and a stylish blouse in my
car’s boot. We’re really lucky because Sydney is a hit for shopping.
We can find both expensive high fashion clothes at huge shopping
malls and more affordable local brands at various shops. Choosing
which one to buy is up to you. I like trendy ones.

               Stefan
We wear very thick clothes in Reykjavik because the weather is
usually freezing cold. Wool sweaters, hats, scarves and gloves are
very popular. We can’t even think of wearing light sneakers; instead,
we wear waterproof shoes. If we don’t dress well, the weather
makes us feel uncomfortable. I prefer shopping at flea markets
because I can find original second-hand goods at reasonable
prices there. Sometimes I go shopping later in the day because the
prices are lower, and I can save money. We want to do our best to
protect the environment, so we sometimes go to local shops and
               markets to buy eco-friendly products.

          6. Read the texts again and answer the questions.
